The book group members met in the cozy, covered tent of the Skylark Hidden Cafe to discuss
The Persuaders: at the front lines of fight for the Hearts, Minds and Democracy.
Participants shared the ideas discovered in this book to help us build a welcoming community for a greater number of people to join in the fight for changes that will benefit all of us. There was a rich discussion and everyone at the table highlighted new ideas in the book for further thought and practice.
Members selected books to read for the January and March meetings of our group and welcomed others to join the discussion. We meet on the last Wednesday of alternate months.
Our group will be reading
Playing God: American Catholic Bishops and The Far Right by Mary Jo McConahay.
