About this event
Mary Jo McConahay the author is a Catholic journalist who covered church activities during Latin American insurgencies in the 1980's. In this new book "Playing God: American Catholic Bishops and The Far Right" she explores the intersection of dark money and evangelical church leaders in our political system and elections as well as divisions among Catholic bishops and the head of the church. This promises to be a fascinating and timely discussion for the book group.
Our group meets in alternate months for lively small group discussions of current issues that impact democracy and relate to the League's mission.
