James Hallett, a member of the EMS Oversight Board and President of the EMS Foundation of Whatcom County, will speak at our next Healthcare Issues Team Meeting on October 20th. He will provide an overview of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Whatcom County; its history, current operations and services, and its budget (how it is funded, what the voters receive for their taxes). Jody Engels, a Paramedic with Whatcom County Fire District 7 (Ferndale) will be with him to talk and answer questions about her experience as a First Responder. Bring your questions!
