Conversations with Elected Officials - Thanks!

Members and elected officials enjoyed good food, drinks, and stimulating conversation at the well-attended December 15 party that the League hosted at Hotel Leo. Members new and old visited with elected officials from Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, and Mt Baker, as well as officials from the county council and county-wide offices, some state representatives, our elected judges, and members of the port commission and the public utilities district. The officials were thanked for their service to the community and seemed to enjoy the opportunity to talk informally with their constituents and with each other.
We thank Jill Bernstein and Annette Holcomb for organizing the event and Mira Kamada for designing and printing invitations. Thanks also to Michael Jay and members of the board for their help to make this event run smoothly for all the guests. Paul Moore came with his camera and captured the spirit of the evening, and a good time was had by all.
