Tanya Baumgart Honored as 2022 Legend of the League

This year, Tanya Baumgart, a 25-year member, was honored as a Legend of the League at the June 18 Annual Meeting. Tanya was an active member of the LWVBWC Board from 1997 through 2015, serving in roles such as Advocacy Chair, Webmaster, Voter Service Coordinator, and Communications Chair. In addition, she was elected to the office of Treasurer and President. Tanya organized engaging meetings and moderated countless candidate forums. Her impeccable style and attention to detail was a tremendous asset at candidate forums. She represented the League at State and National meetings at which she has spoken out for safe and secure elections.

Tanya has also been a key player in the League’s work to protect the environment. She worked to educate the community about the hazards of fossil fuel development and transport from Cherry Point.

These attributes – her leadership skills, enthusiasm, and passion for the League—has earned Tanya recognition as a Legend of the League.
