Comprehensive Planning - What is it and How Can It Help
The Healthcare Issues Team invites you to prepare for the upcoming Comprehensive Plan update where we make choices about our community.
Blake Lyon, Planning and Community Development Director, City of Bellingham will provide an overview "Comp Plan 101" and we will hear from Pete Nelson, Executive Director of the Blaine Senior Center, Steve Roberge, Assistant Director, Whatcom County Planning & Development Services and Stacie Pratschner, City of Blaine Community Development Director about comprehensive planning from a small city perspective, focused on the unique challenges and unmet needs of seniors and people with disabilities accessing appropriate housing and transportation.
Learn how much housing for all income levels that Bellingham and Whatcom County will need to provide to meet population growth. What can you do to support solutions and join the conversations?
This program will be virtual only, via Zoom. Please feel free to sign in early (5:30) to socialize or for tech support.
