Every Election Counts!

Published on 1/13/2024
The first election of 2024 is on February 13.  Included on the ballot are school levies, bonds, and a couple of other district levies.  Every school district in the county is requesting voter support.

The Cascadia Daily News recently posted an article that lists all the propositions on the ballot, including links to the full ballot measures.  Keep in mind that your ballot will only have the proposition(s) that applies to your place of residence, one or two at the most.

You might be inclined to think that it isn’t worth your time to vote in this election.  But every vote counts!  The results of this election will impact the education of your children and grandchildren, and your property taxes as well.  No matter how you vote, the League strongly encourages you to fill out and return your ballot.

The League of Women Voters of Washington State does not have a position on school levies, but it does advocate “Action to support adequate and stable state funding of common schools in Washington, including the costs of in-service training”.
