106 Years Young: The League of Women Voters and the Fight for Our Democracy
About this event
Learn how the League of Women’s Voters is still empowering voters and defending democracy after 106 years. This nonpartisan organization is unique in its consistent success at making and advocating for local, state and national policies that make our democracy and your life better.
How do we do it? Whether you’re a member or just curious, please join us at the Blaine Library on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00 pm where you’ll learn about the history of the League of Women Voters as well as the history and work of our local chapter.
You can also get answers to your questions about voting from a member of our local Get Out the Vote team. We promise you’ll walk away feeling hopeful and inspired knowing there are over 800 League chapters across the nation doing this important behind-the-scenes work protecting our rights and our freedom.
