When a person with serious mental health problems also encounters problems with the law, the Mental Health Court, a branch of the Department of Health, can connect them to mental health services and a pathway to having their charges dismissed. Judge Angela Anderson will explain this two year old program to us and how it has positively affected the lives of nearly 90 people.
