On March 21st, the League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom invites community members to gather for a morning of storytelling, civic reflection, and connection to celebrate Women's History Month.
This special event will feature women from across Whatcom County representing a range of backgrounds, professions, generations, and lived experiences. Together, they will share personal stories that illuminate the many threads that make up our community’s civic fabric.
In a healthy democracy, every voice matters. Listening to one another - especially across differences - strengthens understanding and reinforces the shared values that bind us as neighbors. This gathering is designed as a space for respectful dialogue, thoughtful listening, and civic engagement.
Whatcom County is enriched by its diversity - rural and urban, longtime residents and newcomers, different cultures, faith traditions, careers, and life journeys. By hearing directly from women whose lives reflect that breadth, we gain insight into both our distinct experiences and our shared commitments to community.
We invite League members and the broader public to join us on March 21 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ferndale Public Library. Come curious. Come engaged. Come ready to listen and to learn more about the diversity that makes Whatcom County so special.
