Jean Scribner and Hannah Ordos have been busy in Whatcom County high schools registering students. Sometimes they went into classrooms to give a brief lesson on voting/registration. Hannah will be working in the high schools.
LWVBWC volunteers spent six days recently on Red Square at WWU, providing information on how students can get “their home” ballot sent to their Whatcom address for the November election, as well as providing out-of-state students information on how they can get an absentee ballot sent to their Whatcom address so they can vote their “home “ballots.” Hopefully, this will guarantee students receive their ballot and will vote in the November general election.
