Protests are happening more and more often against the policies implemented by the current administration. So far there doesn’t seem to be a single source of information about demonstrations or boycotts in Bellingham, but League members want to stand up for democracy.
We have a suggestion: join our League’s Advocacy discussion forum and share what you know.
If you join, you can create “threads” (aka discussion topics) or respond to other members’ comments. You can read the discussion on the website, but unless you opt out, every new post will be emailed to you, and you can “reply” to the post with your comments and they will be added to the thread.
To join:
- Log into LWVBWC website;
- Look for your name at the top of the page, and hover or touch until the menu appearsClick on/touch Profile
- On the profile page, look for the Your Website Functions and click on Interests
- Find Advocacy and check the box
Once you’ve selected the Advocacy interest, you are automatically a member of the Advocacy forum and you can post information to share with others. Most demonstrations or calls to action are community lead and not LWV endorsed, but our members like to know what is happening! If you have trouble joining, contact
webmaster@lwvbellinghamwhatcom.org
Want to get more involved? The Advocacy Team welcomes volunteers to help with planning. Contact

Keep in mind, the League of Women Voters of Bellingham/Whatcom County provides this forum for a free discussion of ideas and opinions. However, they should not be interpreted as an endorsement by the League of the actions reported or opinions expressed.
