The 2024 Election Season is over and we did a great job, Getting Out the Vote.
Return rates were good. Statewide for counties over 100,000 voters, Whatcom County had a voter return rate of 83.55%, out-pacing the statewide return rate of 79.66%. For 18 -24-year-olds we had a return rate of 74.8%. The statewide return rate for 18 to 24 was 65.8%. Whatcom County young voters had the best return rate in the state for this age group. All our efforts paid off.
Thank you to ALL volunteers who signed up for registration events when I sent out a request for volunteers. For most events more volunteers signed up than were needed!
If you passed on messages, updates, dates and information that I sent via email/text. Thank you, every little bit helps spread the word.
We will take the next few months off to regroup, plan, and be back in Spring 2025 to continue LWVs great work.
