In May, the Healthcare Issues Team met with Aly Robinson to learn about the healthcare challenges in eastern Whatcom County. She is the Community Health Specialist at Whatcom County Health & Community Services. A recording of her presentation is now posted on the LWVBWC website under Our Work and Healthcare.

In June, members met in-person. It was an opportunity to get to know each other better. We socialized, exchanged information and updates about healthcare, and enjoyed each other’s company.
By the time you read this the Healthcare Town Hall on July 13th will have happened. I will be able to tell you all about it in the next newsletter.
There are no other scheduled meetings for the Healthcare Issues Team in July or August. The next meeting will be Monday September 16th.
