The League is looking for a volunteer to produce the Voter email newsletter once a month. The work takes about four hours per month, and the usual term is about two years—not a lifetime commitment! Training and continuing support are provided!
Specific tasks of the production editor:
- Copy articles supplied by the Voter copy editor onto our website platform. You'll learn how to use a tool called ClubExpress. No experience required.
- Create an email that summarizes the articles, writing short “teasers” and adding images.
- Upload a PDF version of the email onto the website.
Skills and interests: Moderate comfort with computers and software, an interest in layout for clarity and attractiveness, and good writing skills for writing short “teasers” to introduce the full articles.
As production editor, you'll be working with the communications coordinator, who solicits articles, and the copy editor, who receives and edits articles for publication.
