The Art of Community - Three Programs at the Bellingham Public Library

Books on elections at Bellingham Public Library

The Bellingham Public Library in partnership with the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center and the LWV of Bellingham/Whatcom County will be holding a series of three sessions this fall titled The Art of Community.  The sessions, listed below, will be held in the Central Library Lecture Room.

Freedom of Thought and Democracy, Tuesday, September 24, 2:30-4:00pm
In honor of Banned Books Week the Bellingham Public Library will focus on freedom of thought and democracy with reference to banned books.

Conversing Through Controversy, Tuesday, October 8, 2:30-4:00pm
The Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center will focus on softening the effects of polarization and controversy through constructive conversation.

Voter Engagement, Tuesday, October 22, 2:30-4:00pm
The LWV Bellingham-Whatcom County will focus on hopes and concerns for the upcoming election process, and how to make one’s voice heard not only on the ballot but throughout the year.

Registration is not required.
